Not sure if this is a recommended
method but the galvanised steel fence along this hedge has a barbed
wire top which is isolated (apart from supports) from the fence.
It is approx 900' in length. It works well toward the east to
VK and fairly well to JA as a Beverage on 80 / 160m. The far end
of this wire is terminated with a 450 ohm resistor and at the
feed end a 9:1 transformer. The coax is UR213U and runs for 80
- 100m on the ground to the shack. The power line in the shot
does not seem to give any noise problems.
This is a 300 foot parallel barbed wire fence both
wires of which I use as a Beverage toward the south west to South
America.
