"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat. "

- Albert Einstein, explaining radio

 A Simple Thought.

Perhaps the reason that we are alone, is simply because, we are not ready!

If you were an alien or a spiritual entity, would you make contact with a civilisation on the other side of space that conducts itself as badly as we do on Earth. You would only have to monitor the combined output of human world broadcasting, TV and Radio, to know if a civilisation was ready to take the next step or not.

When we are ready, somewhere out there, we will be received!

(See also BBC below).

Weather VHF - BBC UK Weather - At VHF local weather can mean extended signal paths far beyond normal conditions. Look for the end of a period of high pressure. If you want to do serious VHF DX. Go to the BBC Atlantic pressure chart each day and watch for the collapse of high pressure areas for VHF Tropo conditions.
