I used a pair of FT901DM's for low noise reception
up to 2006. These ham band only transceivers (no general coverage
or synthesised frequency conversion = low system noise and dramatically
reduced out of band interference from broadcast stations) were
connected to the Beverage antenna system and the soon to be intalled
K9AY loops. Once you have experienced the usefulness of separate
low noise receiving systems you never look back. If you don't
use one you don't know what your missing!
